Trigger stacking!…….and how to give your dog their glass of wine!

In human terms - Imagine your days started off and you can only find two left shoes, you’ve run out of coffee and you have a flat tyre. By the time you get into the office you are ready to rip someone’s head off.

Same for dogs - Stress accumulates and things escalate

Good stress “OMG!!! I have to chase that bird”Bad stress “Why is that dog looking at me in that tone of voice?”

We can have a glass of wine but how can we keep our dogs bucket less full? how can we give them emotional space to cope?

We look at the bigger picture. - a brief idea but there is so much more…..Do we need rest days? (What can we do instead? Cortisol is the stress hormone and can take 72 hours to dissipate) How is the dog sleeping? Is his diet full of smarties? Is he triggered by watching out of the window? What’s causing his stress? What activities might help to empty the bucket?
